The city offers several tourist attractions to visitors. 

It has a rich historical and cultural heritage. Tourists come to Delhi from all over the world.Delhi has several tourist places. 

The India Gate is one of them. The monument was erected to mark the martyrhood of thousands of soldiers wgave their lives in the wars fought between 1914 to 1919.The building is a beautiful looking structure which is a symbol of Delhi. On weekends people gather around the memorial and take pictures.

The Qutub Minar is another historic structure in Delhi. It is an Islamic monument which has been declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is made of red sandstone and marble. The structure has a staircase inside it which has 379 steps. The monument was commissioned by Qutb-Ud-din Aibak and was completed by Iltutmish.

Lotus Temple is another tourist attraction of Delhi. The monument is a place of worship for Baha'is. The place is attractive as it is made in the shape of a lotus. The monument looks very good. People of any faith can go inside the temple and can sit there in silence. There are no idols placed in the temple. You have to do meditation after you have entered the temple.
